My Supports

To give you a glimpse into my daily life, I work at a salon! A day at the salon can be very busy and difficult to stay on schedule. The factors  that are important and that support me are my co- workers. My team provides and assist with daily tasks that include, cleaning, getting supplies, answering phones, and helping customers. They also provide moral and emotional support when needed. I believe it would be difficult to exist in this working environment without my co- workers due to the overwhelming clientele we have. Each individual provides charisma to our team, I believe my work day would not go as smooth as it does without them!

The challenge I chose to imagine about is having a physical disability. With having a physical disability I believe my family would be my supportive factors. My Mother and siblings are always there to support me when I need anything, so having a physical disability I believe they would be my right hand!I believe their support would benefit me because I would have a good self- esteem, I would understand and know that my disability is not what defines me, and I would know that someone in this world LOVES me for who I am! I think the impact of not having my family in this case would leave me feeling susceptible to finding comfort from anyone or anything. I believe it would be difficult to understand that my physical disability is not who or what I am, without my family. I also think that it would be difficult to openly express my thoughts or challenges without their support, or to recognize how important I am in this world!

  1. It looks like your job involves a lot of team work just like mine as a teacher of young children! It seems like you have a very supportive family and would do anything for you and has made you a beautiful person inside and out. Like you mentioned, there is someone for everyone who loves them for them! My family has taught me acceptance and love of all people, regardless of who they are. I enjoyed your “support” post!
